Week 21

We are so excited that we know that we are having a boy! We love saying "our son" and "him" and "he" and all that! So glad we don't have to call him an "it" anymore!

We are trying to decide on names. Have it down to four possibilities. This is a really hard decision though!! I guess I never thought about how difficult it would be. He is going to be stuck with this name forever whether he likes it or not! (Or until he's old enough to change it!)

I know of all kinds of people who hate their names and I would hate for my son to feel that way! Geez...pressure!!

Anyway, he is the size of a banana this week! Which seems weird since last week he was the size of a canteloupe, which I think is bigger, but I think they measure the length of the fruit.

Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

Hmm...so I guess the baby will like Mexican because that is what I have been wanting so much lately!

Mmm...makes me hungry now!
